| Taekwondo orignates from a Korean folk martial arts, and has been developed and growing step by step in China ever since 1992. In July 2004, the Association of Tae kwon do of China was formally set up, with Wei Jizhong and Cui Dalin as its consultant and chairman respectively. On June 2, Association of Tae kwon do of Hebei was established in Tae kwon do administration center of Hebei Administration of Sports in Langfang . Tae kwon do can be classified into two categories , competetive ones and popular ones. As to popular Tae kwon do , it embodies many forms of work out ,such as poomsae , combative moves ,parrying the art of self-defence, breaking of boards or other materials, Tae kwon do dance .And it aims at cultivating such people's qualities as courtesy,self-confidence,perseverance, tolerance and cooperation. Recent years, problems of coaches of Tae kwon do , in particular their qualities and cultivation have been drawing increasing attention. So series of measures have been adopted to improve their coaching abilities and bring them into better play in every country. Coaches of popular Tae kwon do play an irreplaceable role in discovering and fostering the reserved talents .In this essay, the author will try to find both advantages and disadvantages of coaches of popular Tae kwon do in Hebei through a survey into their current conditions .Then according to the survey analysis, the author will put forward some suggestions on how to promote their coaching level ,which can serve as basic theoretical guidelines and be of great significace to enhancing competitiveness of athletes and sound development of Tae kwon do.The current conditions of the coaches in Hebei will be surveyed and analyzed by referring to many related literature ,conducting questionare survey and interviews and using the statistics . The conclusions are as follows1. the ration betwee male and female coaches and age structure are far from rational . Young coaches account for more than half. Education structure is also unreasonalbe, where those with high education qualification are minority and those with junior college education or below are in majority. Talents source structure is also a big problem. Coaching history are relatively young in general. 2. Most of them are short of theoretical knowledge, including that of foreign laguages, psychology,pedagogy, athletics theory. Also they are in need of some basic capabilities in scientific research, innovation, analyzing and solving problems.3. Coaches with high dan grading are in minority and the management of dan grading system is unsatisfactory. Coaching certificates poorly managed , few chances of receiving training and relatively high training fare ,inadequate inspection from social P.E advisers,coaches'neglection for training are also the current problems facing Tae kwon do in Hebei.4. Ratio of Full time Coaches is much lower.coaches are ignorant of how to make use of pyschology in training , and the only means to recover they can take is to give trainees training. Besides , they are incapable of making a complete training plan.5. Despite the fact that coaches are aware of the importance of receiving training, it is very difficult to for the coaches group to develop well due to shortage of chances of training, its incomplete content of training,its high fare and inadequate training time.Regarding the problems found in the survey, the author will make following proposals:1) to optimise the structure of popular Tae kwon do coaches in Hebei , enrich them with various knowledge and promote their capacities. 2)to attach greater importance to it and intensify the supervision of it.3)to step up its management to enable those coaches be more capable.4) to give more chances and more places for training while making forms of training varied and the contents of it richer... |
