Objective To assess and real-time monitor the physical functional status of shooting athletes of Hebei province, from aspects of both of central nervous system and peripheral nervous system by Omegawave system, which helps to reduce the incidence of exercise fatigue, make coaches to understand athletes'currently physical function and adaptation level to training load, to provide scientific evidence for adjusting training programme timely. Methods Sixteen elite shooting athletes, including eight male and eight female from Hebei province were determined for once a week, lasting 12 weeks or 3 months by Omegawave Real time functional status synthesis diagnostic system. At the same time, researcher choose randomly some training session with high intensity, and monitored some key athletes'physical functional status before and after this session. The analysis were related to cardiac system, energy metabolism system and sports ability related system.Result (1) The incidence of fatigue from central nervous system was 79.2%, from cardiac system was 44.9%, and from both central nervous system and cardiac system was 18.2%. During central nervous system's fatigue, incidence of the low excitation was 79.1%, whereas the high excitation was 4.2%. During cardiac system's fatigue, incidence of the sympathetic nervous was 25.4%, of Parasympathetic nervous was 11.5%, and of both sympathetic and Parasympathetic was 6.3%. (2) There were no significant difference in metabolic adjusted indices of central nervous system between male and female athletes, while those indices in first and second months were significant higher than those of third month in male athlete (P<0.05, P<0.05), and first month were also higher than third month in female (P<0.01). There were no significant difference in cardiac fatigue index and tension index between different sexes and months. (3)During the parameters of energy metabolism system, relative maximal oxygen uptake index of male were significantly higher than those of female (P<0.01). No significant difference was found between three months in male, whereas aerobic capacity index from the third month was higher than the result from the first month (P<0.05). (4)No significant difference was found between sexes and months about heart rate variability by both time domain and frequency domain analysis. Conclusion (1)The incidence of central nervous system's fatigue was higher than its of cardiac system in elite shooting athletes. Low excitation was main type of nervous system's fatigue and sympathetic nervous was main type of cardiac system's fatigue. (2)There existed differences about the capacity of energy metabolism system between sexes, and longitudinal changes were evident in female athletes. (3)The curve picture of longitudinal investigation from Omegawave date can diagnosis athletes'physical functional status intuitively and provide information for training monitor. (4)Omegawave system could assess quantitatively the tension of vagal and sympathia nervous, their balance and influence on cardiovascular activity by collecting and analysing the information of heart beats.
