Rejuvenating the country through science and education, education for this, the development education of course teachers to go first. As the world teacher education reform goal and the current education teachers in our country reform and development of the basic orientation, teachers' professional development in the teachers' education study has become the world education research and the development trend of the trend. Higher education of college sports as an important part of college physical education as the specific practitioners, the shoulder improve students' constitution and cultivate the21st century the burden of high quality talent, is also a need to use teacher professional development theory to guide its construction and development.This paper used the methods of documentary, questionnaire investigation, expert interview method, mathematical statistics and logic analysis, the ordinary university in Wuhan area of public sports teacher education background, professional title, age, professional knowledge level and teaching ability, as well as to the understanding of teachers' professional development, way and the influencing factors, the overall survey and analysis, and in Wuhan area the ordinary university public sports teacher professional development process that exists in reality is studied. Aim to college PE teachers' professional development present situation of further understood, for zhuhai college sports to provide reference for the professional development of teachers, to improve college PE teachers' professional level, build a high-quality college PE teachers' team to provide effective countermeasures and measures. Through the investigation and study, the main conclusions obtained as follows:1, Wuhan area of public sports teachers in colleges of gender, age structure more reasonable proportion, on a partial young school age. But in the record of formal schooling and title with the requirements of the professional and a bit gap, and needs to be further enhance, increase strength training and introduction.2, Wuhan university public physical education teachers in common professional knowledge of the master or more solid, especially in sports theory and technical knowledge and scientific knowledge of human movement two aspects. But in the application subject knowledge and sports of humanities and social science knowledge is a bit of a weak some, master degree in general. The professional knowledge of the main source of the two aspects are normal education and professional reading books.3, Wuhan university public sports teachers who have common very strong professional teaching ability, can be competent own work. Most of the physical education teachers to make scientific research the identity attitude, improve the academic level and teaching quality are the main motives. But a young teachers in scientific research on producing rate needs to improve and strengthen. Wuhan ordinary university physical education teachers in public to the computer use more common, and master degree is quite good, especially young teachers, relative to older people use and master the degree of higher.4, Wuhan area of public sports teachers to ordinary university of professional development, to know and understand more clearly, but there are not comprehensive place. Training education, participate in research activity, experts lectures and watching teaching is the main way of teachers' professional development, at the same time, the school conditions and training less number of limited influence teachers' professional development is the main external factors, in the individual factors, work task and family reasons the proportion of higher.
