Study Of Beijing Sport Events Development Under The Background Of Buildine World City

The success of Beijing Olympic Games in2008had given the city advanced sports venues, facilities and valuable cultural wealth. For a city which has just successfully hosted Olympic Games, the development of sport events in Beijing has special significance.The development of Beijing sports events will meet the urgent need of building the "Olympic City "it is an important way to achieve the strategic goal of building a world city; i t is a effecti ve means to promote the transformation of Beijing's economic development pattern; meanwhile it will fulfill people's demand at different levels.This thesis will begin with the analysis of the current situation of Beijing's sports events development. Through this analysis, the characteristics of Beijing sports events will be concluded, that is, having specific aims, multi-level system, creative operation modes and paying attention to the role of sports events in promoting city development.Later, by comparing with the sports events in the world's developed cities, some weaknesses of Beijing sports events development will be listed, including lacking of fixed events, lower degree of localization, weak brand competitiveness, and the lack of historical and cultural connotation.Finally, based on the above discussion and the theoretical analysis of the development of sports events in Beijing, some specific responses to the sports events development will be proposed. The research in this thesis is conducted in the background of the post-Olympics era of Beijing. From the real need of practice, this research will provide some references for the development of Beijing sports events, It has both theoretical and practical significance.
