Folklore Perspective The Niujie Mosque Social Function

Niu Jie Temple, as the existence of a folk customs, compared with other religious temples and the Middle East temple, the diversification of the social function is one of its notable features, there is a temple where the Hui people exsits in China, showing the morphology of living space around the temple to the characteristics of faith space in the point of view, it is the combination of daily life and religious activities of the Hui people, Why this unique folk phenomenon will exist and how will it grow, and why the folk customs will form in Niujie are related to the social function of the Niu Jie temple Specifically. It is in the group in the center of daily life, economy, politics, culture, foreign relations and other social activities, and with the times and social changes in the environment, the social function of the Niu Jie temple is constantly undergoing change.The function of religious belief is the basic functions of the Niu Jie Mosque, which is the main place of Muslim daily religious activities, in accordance with the teachings of Islam, Five Pillars of Muslim daily, weekly Prayers, important festivals, celebrations, weddings, mourning the dead man and other important religious activities are closely related to the Niu Jie Mosque.The first chapter focuses on the Social Situation of the Niu Jie Hui, based on field survey data, detailed the origin name of Niu Jie, Niu Jie Hui peoplep's community in the history of social networks, and cultural life of the Niu Jie Hui people's everyday folk; the second chapter focused on the establishment of Niu Jie Temple's history, its deconstruction of internal operation mechanism; on the basis of the first two chapters, the third chapter discusses the most basic social functions of Niu Jie temple---religious function, using the theory to analyze the performance of their religious functions, rites of passage process and the implementation process, the process of learn, marriage, ceremony. Following by analysis of the Niu Jie temple religious functions, the author summed up that the temple's living space under the customs norms and cultural identity is a basic religious functions of reason; Chapter IV discusses the social function, such as political functions derived by Niu Jie temple in the new era, the economic function, national unity, identity function, foreign relations functions, and the analysis to resolve the possibility of realization of this function. The function of the realization process has relates to the author's thinking. The fifth chapter analyzes the change of the social function of Niu Jie temple, starting from the necessity of functional changes and reform measures discusses. The entire paper show the social function of the Niu Jie temple, and the possibility of its functions, the implementation process, changes in development focus on analysis. Niu Jie temple affect everyday substances throughout the Niu Jie Hui people in cultural life, religious beliefs, psychological state, Niu Jie tempie has shown this cultural identity is rich in Islamic style with a long history and profound, with a very large adaptability and inclusiveness, and with the development of the times, Niu Jie temple has been with the Beijing area of Islamic culture and other ethnic groups in the Beijing area, the national development and progress of the same fate. Niu Jie temple's culture will surely achieve further development.
