Vocational training is one of the focuses that all the countries pay attention at present on training of the whole people and it also the key point that they are boosting for employment. It is the same vocational training trend to bring up qualified and talented person around the world. Depending on its own unique geographic advantage and superior travel resources, Mauritius has created a flexible, various and market—connected training system, which makes outstanding contribution to the state economy as the global economy becomes more and more competitive. The discourse integrates the methods of literature and interview to describe the history and actuality of the vocational training in Mauritius, which emphasizes and analyzes the executing process of NAS (National Apprenticeship Scheme) within four parts. It summarizes the Mauritian vocational training characteristics and provides the revelation to the vocational training in China.Part I:By describing the Mauritian economic actuality, the discourse shows the special contribution through vocational training to state economy and it brings forward the importance of vocational training through the pertinent research on it around the world.Part II:By reviewing the developing history of vocational training in Mauritius, how it goes at present and the supporting policy on it from the local government, it emphasizes the importance of policy.Part III:It introduces the background of the NAS (National Apprenticeship Scheme) and the execution in tourism industry, through which analyzes the successful experience and existing question.Part IV:It reveals the existing questions in our vocational training and discusses the reason of it through the comparison of the external and objective condition between Mauritius and our corresponding minority areas (such as the element of geography, culture and history in developing tourism) and the description of economic status quo. As a result, the following beneficial revelations and suggestions have been reached:supporting policy from the local government, exertion of the advantage of joint—training school, give a friendly atmosphere to vocational training, financial support and let the trainee to be employed.
