Tourism, as a widely and deeply influential social practice, performs the tensility between traditional culture and modern market system. This tensility inevitably leads to the structural change of minority rural community, which is originally closed and traditional in a degree. This thesis chooses Taoping Qiang village in Sichuan Province as a case, and carries out an exploration and analysis on the local social network change with the tourism industry development from the longitudinal and horizontal aspects. The nuclear family network shows a trend of aggregation, while the social network outside the nuclear family has gone through a process from rupture, reconstruction to fluctuation. As a result, it finds out that the tourism industry development brings out the social network in Taoping Qiang village presenting distinct structure of'nuclear layer-inner layer-outer layer', within which, the nuclear layer on the basis of nuclear families is family-relationship-orientated, the outer layer based on the geographical and industrial elements is interest-orientated, while the inner layer resulting from consanguinity and marriage is dual orientated by family relationship and interest.This thesis is composed by seven chapters. The first chapter reviews the researches on tourism, social network, and Qiang society in the anthropological field, and then describes the basic framework of the present study.The second chapter gives a general introduction of Taoping Qiang village, recalls its shift of livelihood and tourism industrial development, and includes a simple description of the local kinship mechanism.The third chapter, from two layers of conjugal relation and relation between generations, reveals the intimate tendency of nuclear family network since the development of tourism industry.The fourth chapter explores the overall rupture of social relationship outside nuclear families because of interest shock in the initial period of tourism industry development, so the social network is in a state of collapse.The fifth chapter focuses on the middle period of tourism industry development, investigating the restoration of old relationship and creation of new relationship. It manifests that the social network outside nuclear families is reconstructing.The sixth chapter talks about the revival stage, reveling that the social network is in the fluctuated situation so as to balance the aggregation and rupture.The last chapter is a simple conclusion of and discussion on the basic viewpoints of the whole thesis. It points out that as the tourism industry develops, the social network in Taoping Qiang Village presents the change pattern of aggregation-rupture-reconstruction-fluctuation, and formns the basic structure Of'nlUClear layer-inner layer-outer layer'...
