Adult Higher Education Study On Sustainable Development

The Adult Higher Education is an important part of the cause of higher education in China. It is an important way to train high-level expertise and plays an important role to promote the popularization of higher education, and practice the concept of life-long education and build a learning society. Since the founding of New China, the Adult Higher Education has experienced60years of development history and has formed a relatively complete Adult Higher Education system. While Adult Higher Education has not been a sufficient understanding of the relevant education, authorities have not done enough to meet members of society, the demand for education.With the advent of the era of knowledge economy, new knowledge, theories, methods presented in front of people, no matter a person get how much education in the schools, their knowledge need to constantly update, supplement and improve. As an important carrier of lifelong education, Adult Higher Education need to change the concept of change only academic education from both formal schooling and non-degree education. I with great enthusiasm for Adult Higher Education in our school, in-depth Adult Higher Education management practices, carefully read the historical literature on adult development as the basis of the actual development of higher education school and analyze the problems, and for each problem, I put up with solving strategies, and on this basis, Community Education as an Adult Higher Education for achieving sustainable development path from academic credentials education to non-academic education, Adult Higher Education change to provide support.The full text is broadly divided into four parts:The first part is the first chapter, Introduction section includes topics origin and significance of this study, the literature review on Adult Education for Sustainable Development Research, research ideas, content, methods, and Related Concepts.The second part reviews the developmental history of Adult Education and confirms the contributions it did to economic construction. Through the analysis to the history of Adult Education, the history was divided into four parts:initiating period (1949-1965), recovering and developmental period (1977-1986), reforming and developmental period (1987-2000) and the new reforming and developmental period (2001unitil now)The third part is the third Chapter. It shows sustainable development factors in restricting adult higher education. This chapter chooses Adult Higher Education students in Shaanxi Normal University conducted a questionnaire survey obtained data based on an insight into the major factors restricting the sustainable development of adult higher education. It include:inadequate legislation, orientation is not clear enough; inadequate funding of education; low professional level of teachers; Education and Teaching Management "general enlightenment"; low utilization of educational resources.The fourth part, combined with the adult to the existing problems of higher education, the development of Adult Higher Education opportunities for school through a comprehensive analysis of Adult Higher Education for sustainable development strategy: to strengthen the legislation, scientific orientation; to increase investment multi-channel financing; build teachers'life-long learning system to improve the professional level of teachers; the credit system, the establishment of the Credit Accumulation and Transfer System; integration of educational resources, improve resource utilization.Part Five, for Community Education-one of the Adult Higher Education for sustainable development path. The proposed Adult Higher Education to achieve sustainable development, to continue the steady development of the academic education, but also vigorously develop the non-academic education, community education is one. This chapter first introduces the concept of community education, the development of community education to achieve the public education on this basis. Finally, adult and higher education shall be merging with the Community Education Distance Education of Shaanxi Normal University as an example.
