Collaborative learning is a different learning mode from traditional learning. Learners exploreand solve problems in the process of exchanges and cooperation with each other. This is not a simplecognitive learning, but take the initiative to explore the knowledge used to solve the problem, thus toimprove their creative thinking ability. This is precisely the teaching purpose of cultivatinginnovative talents. However, due to technical conditions in the past, collaborative learning can onlycommence in a small teaching team. It will be restricted In teaching management, knowledgemanagement, performance assessment. Today, Internet technology is an unprecedented development,especially the social networking is very popular, Interpersonal communication has been afundamental change. This change would inevitably cause the change of the collaborative learningmode.This paper is to study and explore how to improve the web-based collaborative learning modein extensive contacted social networks environment, and how to introduce new techniques ofinformation field in order to efficient web-based collaborative learning. Let collaborative learning tothe fullest of its advantages to develop learners' collaborative communication skills and innovativethinking skills, and improve their learning performance.In this paper, from the basic theory of collaborative learning, there is an elaborate on theadvantages of collaborative learning compared with other modes of learning, also describes thecharacteristics of web-based collaborative learning and the concept of collaboration community. Forthe current development status of web-based collaborative learning at home and abroad, and pointedout its limitations: the collaborative learning just to start a small teaching team are subject to theconstraints in teaching management, knowledge management, performance evaluation. And raisedthe problem of the most of web-based collaborative learning systems: The collaborative team is stilllimited groups, did not fully reflect the social, collaborative learning can not play its effectiveness. Itproposed collaborative learning must make improvements under the current technical conditions.To solve the above problems, this paper presents using the development model and interactivetools of social networking to improve the collaborative learning mode. Explore how to use SNStechnology to expand the scale of collaborative groups in the current internet, and how to carry outthe web-based collaborative learning effectively. This paper analyzes the feasibility of collaborativelearning-based social networking. This paper suggests that the formation and evolution of thecollaborative community and the collaborative process of personalized service is the key to improvenetwork collaborative learning mode, in order to design a collaborative learning model based onsocial network services. On the basis of the model, analysis the needs of collaborative learning system, and proposed the functional model of the web-based collaborative learning system. Andselect the appropriate programming technology, to achieve the collaborative learning system basedon social network services, and the realization of the main function modules and effect are described.The last of this paper is summarized and prospect.
