Pay for performance has already been widely used in China's enterprises. However, it is a newborn thing to China's education system. In the process of performance pay system reform, we have achieved some results, at the same time, exposed some problems,which make it becoming the focus in academic circles. It has very important significance of further long-term development of higher education, just like if we implement pay for performance in the Colleges or not, how the effect of the implementation of pay for performance.In view of this, this paper first introduced the research background, significance, status and methods, and point out innovation and deficiencies that may met; Secondly, it made a description of basic concepts and theoretical foundation which was used in this paper, and referenced these theories on the merits; Third, analyze the policy, social and institutional conditions of implementing pay for performance in China's Colleges, learn successful experience from other coutries ; Fourth, point out the way of implementing pay for performance in China's Colleges from countermeasures and security; Finally, come to the conclusion whether we can implement performance pay system in China's Colleges.
