With the rapid development of socialist modernization, China experiences thetrend that traditional ideas are desalting, and people's values and moral behaviors areincreasingly diversified. As the main position of moral education, in order to meet thenew challenges in the domain of our moral education in the new era, and to change thecurrent situation of China's faster economic development versus relatively slowdevelopment of moral education, schools have put the moral education on a newagenda. And the reform and innovation of moral education methods have become thetop priority of moral education reform.This paper is an introduction and comparison of high school moral educationmethods between our country and the main developed countries in the West, and alsoan exploratory research in the field of moral education methodology. First of all,because there are many differences between China and the western developedcountries in political, economic, cultural and historic aspects, the moral educationmethods differ. Second, the western developed countries' moral education idea andpractice are superior all over the world. Third, middle school students' thoughts andvalues are developing and it has profound significance to give them timely and rightguidance now. To sum up, I choose this subject and hope to study other's merits andremedy our own deficiency, and to continuously improve and perfect our high schoolmoral education methods via comparison.This paper is divided into five chapters:Chapter one is the introduction. This part mainly puts forward the researchbackground and significance, present research situation at home and abroad, the way ofthinking on the paper and the research methods.The second chapter mainly introduces the core concepts and the related theory ofmoral education methods. This part introduces the meaning of moral education, moraleducation methods, and moral education methods in middle school, and refers to thecomparison of moral education methods and the principles that should be obeyed whilecomparing.The third chapter introduces the high school moral education methods in China. The beginning part of this chapter is an overall classification to Chinese modern moraleducation methods. And the central part discusses several common usedmethodological moral methods and specific moral education methods. The Final partanalyzes the characteristics of Chinese middle school moral education methods, itsinadequacies and the causes of them.The fourth chapter is the middle school moral education methods in the West.First, it introduces the typical methods and their principles of western middle schoolmoral education. Then it points out the characteristics and the existing problems of itsmoral education methods. Finally, it analyzes the causes of these problems.Chapter5is the comparison of middle school moral education methods betweenChina and the West, and the enlightenment we can get. This part studies the similaritiesand differences between them and concludes the enlightenment on middle schoolmoral education methods from the western developed countries.
