Facing the deep change of international and domestic situations, the centralgovernment promulgates a series of documents to strengthen and improve ideologicaland political education towards college students. Therefore, College students'ideological and political education has aroused more and more attention. However, thecurrent work for college students' ideological and political education work is faced withmany new problems. Hence, it is necessary and urgent to change the serious situationwith new methods and carry out college students' ideological and political educationwork effectively.Based on the CPC's documents, the thesis applies the theories for college students'ideological and political education and social work to analyze the necessity andfeasibility of the social work three basic methods in college students' ideological andpolitical education at first, then to clarify the important practical significance and valueof social work three basic methods in solving college students' ideological and politicaleducation problems, and finally put forward the strategies for college students'ideological and political education. In view of the above points, documentary research,comparative study and case study are employed in this thesis.There are five chapters in this thesis. Chapter one is the introductory part, thebackground, questions and significance of the research stated here. Chapter two is thetheoretical foundation. In this part, the author elaborates the three methods for socialwork. Chapter three focuses on the necessity and feasibility of the social work threebasic methods in college students' ideological and political education and try to find outthe significance. Chapter four is the application of the three basic methods for socialwork into college students' ideological and political education, which is the purpose ofthe research as well. Chapter five is the conclusion. In the conclusion part, the authorsummarizes the main ideas of the whole thesis, indicates the limitations and thendemonstrates her efforts to do further research and hope better study can be done in thisfield.The conclusions are as follows: Firstly, case work's well prepared implementation process will supply clear ideasand approaches to carry out college students' ideological and political education orderly.Secondly, various techniques used in case work can supply concrete methods andskills to carry out college students' ideological and political education effectively.Thirdly, remedial models for case work can supply effective techniques and meansfor solving the problems in college students' ideological and political education.Fourthly, group work is always dealing with social problems which can strengthenthe pertinence and effectiveness to solve the problems about college students.Fifthly, skills from group work method will provide effective guidance for theimplementing of the college students' ideological and political education.Lastly, not only the community social work's implementing procedures but also themain models will have reference value for college communities' work to a certaindegree.In view of the above points, the author puts forward some suggestions forapplication of social work methods into college students' ideological and politicaleducation.To begin with, how to apply the procedure, techniques and models for case work tocollege students' ideological and political education.Then, how to apply the procedure, techniques and models for group work tocollege students' ideological and political education.Finally, how to apply the procedure and models for community social work tocollege students' ideological and political education.
