Utilization Of Social Work Philosophy And Methods In Ideological And Political Education Of College Poor Students

With the development of market economy and the continuous advance of theuniversity reform, economic subsidies for poor college students has been generallyformed which ensured the college poor students’ basic life. But at the same time, the gapbetween rich and poor as well as economic pressure makes psychological problems ofthe poor students in colleges more and more obvious,which often accompanied by lowself-esteem, autistic, blind comparisons, short-sighted and other psychological disorder,poor college students criminal incidents have frequently occurred.Specializedideological and political education is imperative in this situation. Under long-termanxiety and psychological gap, poor college students tend to be more to prepare for thiskind of psychological education also more prone to conflict with the psychological andthat brought ideological and political education of poor students in colleges in trouble.Social work is an altruism helpful way and has formed its own idea and method inthe long years of development. Social work follow the "win-win", equality and respect,service concept, through the scientific method, it can stand in view of the problem ofpoor students, and fully reflect their main body status and give play to their subjectiveinitiative. No matter in the education concept, education method, or educators qualityrespect, compared to the traditional ideological and political education, social workhas absolute advantages. At the same time, both for poor students to colleges anduniversities is the psychological guidance to the work, the work target groups and worktarget and coherence, so the social work idea and method can be used for the poorstudents’ ideological and political education, and their work purpose will have a greathelp. Meanwhile, both of social work and traditional ideological and political educationare counseling for poor college students and they have the same target group, so the social work idea and method can be used for the poor students’ ideological and politicaleducation, and their work purpose will have a great help.In order to progressive this problem, we write from three directions. Firstly weproceed from poor university students’ ideological and political status and the dilemmaof ideological and political education, through the form of an interview to learn aboutthe poor university students’ real thoughts, thus summarizes the current poor universitystudents’ common trouble from interview materials. Secondly, now that the ideologicaland political education of the school can not meet the needs of the poor universitystudents’, then we need to demand another idea and method of the intervention to helpthe poor students’ ideological and political education achieve their goals. Social workmethods, no matter from working method or idea has its advantages to make it. So thesocial work idea and method of the intervention has its feasibility and necessity. Finally,through the concrete practice work, this paper expounds the concept and method ofsocial work in poor university students’ ideological and political education in thepractical application of methods.
