This study analyzes problems and causes of the current living condition of our rural teachers from an ecological perspective. To promote the sustainable development of rural teachers, this research also proposes the improvement strategy of the living condition of rural teachers from the perspective of optimizing the ecological environment and improving the ecological individual. Specifically, this study mainly focuses on the following four aspects:Firstly, to provide theoretical illustrations for analysising of the problems and causes of the living condition of rural teachers and exploring the strategy of improvement of living condition of rural teachers, theories of ecology-related are explained, such as ecosystem, niche and sustainable development.Secondly, through survey and interviews, the living condition of rural teachers is analyzed. The survey found that the current survival situation of rural teachers is still not optimistic. Low income, heavy survival pressure which results in unsustainable life. Many left-behind children, low efficiency, work pressure, and lacking of teaching resources makes rural teachers difficult in the implementation of new curriculum; instrumentalism of management degrades the initiative of teachers; few of recreational activities and monotonous spiritual life render the rural teachers choose to quietly leave village schools; few learning, training opportunities and limited professional development which make rural teachers gradually into mechanical teaching, losing the creativity and happiness of teaching. All these factors above kill the enthusiasm of teachers and a lot of rural teachers begin to escape this kind of life.Once again, this thesis analyzes and elaborates the current living circumstances of rural teachers from the ecological point of view. Wages and welfares are regarded as the necessities for survival of rural teachers and in return, they also provide energy for them. Unreasonable macroeconomic resources distribution and unbalanced regional economic underdevelopment are the main reason of low wage and shortage of teaching resources. What's more, inadequate legal protection causes those resources which should belong to rural teachers to be diverted and occupied. It is certain that everyone has their own optimal ecological domain, once the work pressure is too excessive and exceeds the individual maximum, it will makes severe results, even leads to death from overwork. The concept of management of village schools is based on the anthropocentric values at present, which assumes people as a tool, passive and mechanical, neglecting of rural teachers'initiative and creativity. And current rural schools can't timely receive the outside world information because of no computer which produces local habitat effect between rural teachers, which is not conducive to the overall development of rural teachers'community. Besides, after investigation, the author find that rural teachers lack the awareness of self-development, which causes niche shrinking, declining in teaching ability, individual's sustainable development.Finally, the author proposes corresponding improvement strategy for improving the living condition of rural teachers from ecological perspective. In terms of government, we can use performance-based pay to activate healthy competition among rural teachers and implement the housing policy to improve the living environment of rural teachers; we also can implement recruitment mechanism of "national standard, provincial exams, the county recruitment and school using" to improve the overall quality of rural teachers. Furthermore, it can ease the shortage of rural teachers through carrying out "special post, special teachers" policy and free normal students policy. At the same time, setting up network platform and long-distance teaching, which can makes rural school exchange information with the outside world to improve the effectiveness of rural education, expand rural teachers' niche. In the aspects of school material, they should optimize natural environment, bring in teaching apparatus, equipment and other material to improve the living conditions of rural teachers. In terms of the spirit of school, they could ameliorate cultural environment of rural teachers, pay more attention the rural teachers' professional development, enrich the personal lives of rural teachers, and improve the institutional environment of schools. At the individual level, rural teachers should continuously carry out personal self-learning, constantly implement physical and mental adjustment.
