Research And Implementation Of Key Technology In Web Network Management System Based On SNMP

Growing network size and increasingly complex network structure increase the difficulty of the entire network management. Equipped with a practical and effective network management system is obviously necessary. Real time network management system should be able to grasp the performance status of network elements, nodes information and network structure.Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) as a part of TCP / IP protocol suite with Management Information Base(MIB) provide a kind of method of monitoring computer networks. AS the main management model of Internet, SNMP network management technology has been the standards of implementation.This paper firstly introduces the status and development trend of the domestic and international network management, and also describes the principle and applications of SNMP protocol, Structure of Management Information (SMI) and Management Information Base (MIB); then the Web Service and XML technology are detailed introduced. Thanks to the grasp of C # programming techniques and procedures for Web, a SNMP based B/S mode monitoring software which combines with certification, the server business publishing and user classification management is developed. Based on WMI programming and using the SNMPSHARPNET package, database server and SQL SERVER 2005, the detailed design of SNMP based network management system is completed, and the information collection of monitoring host is implemented as well , including many functions, such as the information on hard disk, CPU usage, log management, server process tree and the network topology detection.Finally,the paper presents a new idea of network topology exploring.
