The Study On Border County Economic Development In The Eastern Part Of Northeast China

County economy plays a special role in our national economic system,its development has vital significance to the regional economic development.The border counties and county-level cities in the eastern Northeast China border on North Korea and Russia,and across to Japan and South Korea.They are windows and the important channels for foreign trade.But due to their unique geographical location and developmental background and the special geopolitics and economic relation of this area,they have certain similarities and differences with the other areas in Northeast China at the economic bases,industrial structures and development stages of agriculture,forestry,animal husbandry,industry and mining.With the global and regional economic integration,and the north opening up and the new socialist countryside building strategies of our nation the border county economic development in the eastern part of Northeast China is not only affect the provinces and the cities but also the safety and development of this area in the future which has vital significance to study.This paper takes 22 border counties in the eastern part of Northeast China as example,according regional economic development theory, regional division of labor theory,the urban-rural dual structure theory,industrial cluster theory,first presents the entire northeast economy development,and analyzes the development level of the 22 border counties in the eastern part of Northeast China.Second,selects the per capita GDP as an indicator, using Gini coefficient and Lorenz curve to analyze the situation of the 22 border counties,and then selects ten indicators,using principal component to analysis the difference of the counties economy development.Third,analyzes the causes of such difference.Finally,combines the natural resources and the actual situation of the border counties,putting forward basic measures to promote their economy that is following the general rule of the county economic development,standing on resources superiority,fosterring leading industries,formating industrial agglomeration and polarization effects,and ultimately narrowing the gap between these counties.Thus chang "border barriers" to the geographical advantage,combine sub-regional economic cooperation and the domestic division together,and promot regional development better and faster.
