The Research On Border Economic Cooperation Of The Eastern Area In The Northeast China

Regional economic cooperation is one of the important features of the contemporary world economic development after World War Ⅱ Northeast China is located in the hinterland of Northeast Asia, neighboring Russia, North Korea, South Korea and Japan. It is connecting China with Northeast Asian countries. At the same time, Northeast China is an important geographical position for its straight traffic linking countries in Northeast Asia to Europe. In twentieth Century 90’s, along with the Tumen River regional cooperation development projects, the development of open northeast border is speeding up, with a significantly improving level of opening, but there is still much room for improvement compared with other regions.This paper takes structuring the Northeast frontier economic zone as the basic idea, using regional economic cooperation as basic theory, comprehensive uses the related theories and methods such as the international trade theory, regional economic geography, regional economy theory, China frontier open theory etc. The research object is Northeast China Eastern Border Region (the roughly boundaries is south from Dalian -G201-Jia MuSi-G221-Tong Jiang).Analysis of the border economic cooperation of eastern border area includes the import and export situation, industrial structure, port etc. Then the article comprehensive compares and analyses the three national border economic cooperation zones in the four aspects of infrastructure construction, tourism cooperation, foreign trade, investment and industrial cooperation.Based on the analysis, the article finds the weakness and points out the key to the next-step development. Finally, learning from the advanced experience of other border cooperation at home and abroad, this article puts forward the countermeasures and suggestions for the eastern border cooperation and development in Northeast china.This paper argues that cooperation is the key to the further development of the border economic cooperation zones in the eastern part of Northeast China. And it proposes founding "the Develop Leadership Team of the Eastern Border in Northeast Provinces China" and "the Consultative Conference Mechanism on Border Development of China, North Korea and Russia" which would positively affect the development of regional cooperation and the eastern border region economic construction. Advises about the economic development of the eastern frontier of Northeast China is to expand the multi-market, construct the frontier port system,integrate the regional industrial structure, improve the regional infrastructure, and foster the economic growth axis.
