The 21st century is the age of the knowledge economy, the human resource is of the knowledge creation subject and operating carrier, is the core of knowledge economy productive forces, is the wisdom of the organization and creative source. In the era of knowledge economy human resource management displays the "people-oriented" characteristics, emphasizes people and organizational development together. As social competition is becoming intenser, work stress problem become more apparent, high work stress made the organization and staff pay a heavy price. For developing and utilizing human resource effectively, with the world challenge, contemporary enterprises needs to adopt a more rational and effective method to enhance work stress management level urgently, and achieve reasonable adjustment pressure, improve employee satisfaction and performance aims. In view of this, this paper broke through traditional stress management idea, based on the situational leadership theory studied work stress, analyzed work stress problem In terms of matching of managers leadership and employee development stage. Applying situational leadership theory to work stress problem study and widening the application range of situational leadership are main innovative points of this paper.Based on the work stress and situational leadership theory, through investigation into managers and employees of service industry typical enterprises, frequency analysis of SPSS multivariate statistical, correlation analysis, factor analysis, clustering analysis and mean comparison, analyzed the matching degree of managers leadership and employees readiness, leadership matching degree and work stress correlation, and leadership style related employees work stress main factors, characteristics of different readiness employees work stress, and in terms of situational matching put forward the work stress and performance management strategy.This research mainly draw three conclusions, namely managers leadership matching degree and employees'work stress level has an obvious negative correlation, With managers leadership related work stress including job requires stress, job control stress, communication stress and professional development stress; Employees'work stress at different readiness stages are different.This paper also put forward relevant countermeasures against the above conclusions and finally found the reasonable configuration rule of work stress, work performance and leadership.
