Urban And Rural Power Grid Construction Projects Schedule Management Research

Schedule is one of the important components of the three project management control objectives-cost, schedule and quality. The central task of project management is to smoothly achieve the intended target under the premise of quality assurance and cost savings by effective control of the project schedule.As the country's basic industries and industries of having both social and economic benefits, power grid construction has significant influence on regional economic development and social stability. Effective control of the schedule of power grid projects is particularly important as the power grid project schedule management follows the general project management principles.The article is according to modern project management ideas and methods, combined with characteristics of urban and rural power grid construction projects, and learn from project management research results and practice case. Based on deep analysis of the problem of urban and rural power grid construction schedule management, and on the reference of project management theory(PMBOK Guide) and schedule control theory, the author interviewed many project stakeholders, analyzes factors that impact normal project schedule in its execution, discussed the feasibility of using modern project management methods to solve project management problems. He also carried out schedule management on focus of key constraints to ensure project deliverable on time, and verified the effectiveness of these project management methods in project practice, and finally, came to the management methods of such projects.
