Ambidextrous orientation is a new strategic chance in the face of condition change. Growing evidence shows that ambidextrous firms are more successful than firms that are only oriented to exploration or exploitation. Consequently, it is a still question worth exploring the factors which affect the building of the ambidextrous orientation. This paper will discuss the relation between TMT behavioral integration and the ambidextrous orientation of entrepreneurial firm and if the TMT (top management team) cognitive conflict and organizational formalization moderate.There are two research questions:(1)How TMT behavioral integration affects the ambidextrous orientation? (2) if the TMT (top management team) cognitive conflict and organizational formalization moderate?This research adopts the method of literature analysis and the empirical research. Drawing on the top management team processing perspective, this paper builds the model that how the factors affect the ambidextrous orientation and if the TMT (top management team)cognitive conflict and organizational formalization moderate. Then I borrow some data of associate professor Zhang. This research makes use of correlation analysis and regression to test the theoretical model.This paper gets the following conclusions:(1) TMT behavioral integration can directly influence the ambidextrous orientation of entrepreneurial firm. (2) TMT (top management team) cognitive conflict moderates the relationship between TMT behavioral integration and ambidextrous orientation of entrepreneurial firm. TMT cognitive conflict and TMT behavioral integration have a negative interaction on organizational ambidexterity. (3) The organizational formalization can not moderate the relationship between TMT behavioral integration and ambidextrous orientation of entrepreneurial firm.The main contributions of this paper are:(1) The paper builds up one model. It is how the TMT behavioral integration affects ambidextrous orientation. The result is TMT behavioral integration directly influences ambidextrous orientation of entrepreneurial firm.(2)Using TMT cognitive conflict and organizational formalization as moderate variables, the paper tests that TMT Behavioral Integration and TMT cognitive conflict have a positive or interaction on organizational ambidexterity. But organizational formalization can not moderate the relationship between two variables of the model. |
