Study Of Dynamic Capabilities Influence On Corporate Entrepreneurship

Under such a hypercompetitive circumstance, the industry situation that mature companies faced is becoming more and more complex and uncertain. Core rigidity appeared and began to restrict its development. So the companies are beginning to reconsider the sources of competitive advantage, searching for a new way to develop, make profit and get accumulated competitive advantage. Under the background, Dynamic Capabilities Theory and Corporate Entrepreneurship Theory were successively put forward and developed. The former is the source of getting sustainable competitive advantage, the latter is a process or form of getting sustainable competitive advantage. It has very important significance that doing a research of combining the two theories. But the scholars are seldom focus on it, and seldom study on the relationship between dynamic capabilities and corporate entrepreneurship in the true sense. So this paper takes dynamic capabilities and corporate entrepreneurship as the research object and makes a study of the relationship between them. I hope it can provide some guides and suggestions to companies for their promoting dynamic capabilities and carrying out corporate entrepreneurship.Therefore, I refer to lots of theoretical research about dynamic capabilities and corporate entrepreneurship, I put forward that using spiritual and material levels together to measure corporate entrepreneurship. Then, a relationship model between dynamic capabilities and corporate entrepreneurship was made and some hypotheses was brought out. And using the national already-builded companies'sample data in different industry, an empirical analysis was made through reliability analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis to prove the correctness of the research.This paper analyze the relationship between each factor of dynamic capabilities and each factor of corporate entrepreneurship, and get the conclusion that dynamic capabilities has the forward influence to corporate entrepreneurship. And the two influence levels are entrepreneur orientation (spiritual level) and entrepreneur intensity (material level). On one hand, the result not only proved the correctness of this paper, but also helped us to bring out a more practicable method to measure corporate entrepreneurship theoretically and empirically, even have more importance significance to the study of Dynamic Capabilities Theory and Corporate Entrepreneurship Theory. On the other hand, this paper can provide some guides and suggestions to companies for their promoting dynamic capabilities and carrying out corporate entrepreneurship, and find a new way for companies to get sustainable competitive advantage in proper sequence through combining them.Comparing with the previous studies, this paper has 3 points of innovation as following:First, this paper considers entrepreneur orientation and entrepreneur intensity as two dimensions of corporate entrepreneurship, synthesize the spiritual level and material level of corporate entrepreneurship to make the scale of corporate entrepreneurship and measure it effectively and comprehensively. So this paper has contribution to the deepness and extension of Corporate Entrepreneurship Theory. Second, combining the two theories together, this paper studies on their relationship and inner affect-mechanism in the true sense not only contributes to the deepness and extension of the study between them, but also finds a breakthrough point about the study of Competitive Advantage Theory. Third, Building a relationship model between dynamic capabilities and corporate entrepreneurship, this paper introduces a higher level capability (dynamic capabilities which can change the companies'basic capabilities) to deepen the "capabilities factors" which influenced corporate entrepreneurship.Whereas, this paper is innovativeness in certain degree and gets some theoretical and practical meanings, but because of corporate entrepreneurship's complexities and varieties, it still has some inadequacies which need to improve and deepen. I hope that this paper's attempting of connecting dynamic capabilities and corporate entrepreneurship can play a role of forward, and do some contribution to the development of Dynamic Capabilities Theory, Corporate Entrepreneurship Theory and Competitive Advantage Theory.
