The Research Of The Role Of Aquatic Products Export In Fisheries Economics Growth In Shandong Province

Shandong Province is Chinese traditional fisheries areas.In the past decade, the Shandong average output value of fishery accounting for about 13% in fisheries output value of whole country. Although the proportion in large gradual decline,it is still more than 10%. As an important pillar industry in Shandong, fisheries play an important role in adjusting the urban and rural economic structure, incresing residents income, optimizing diet, increasing foreign exchange of agricultural exports.Using the measures of export elasticity,export dependency, export contribution rate and pull rate of aquatic products in Shandong Province,the results showes that nearly ten years, annual average export of aquatic products elasticity is more than 1 and export dependency is more than 30%. Annual average export contribution rate of aquatic products is more than 100% and pull rate is near 5%.Using cointegrat—tion analysis, regression analysis, Granger causality test of correlation between fishery output value and aquatic products export value including trade way in Shandong Province, the results show that the total export value of aquatic products increased , general trade increased and processing trade increased are the Granger reasons of fisheries output value increased . There are the long-run equilibrium relationship between the fishery economics and aquatic export. Effect of general trade is slightly less than the processing trade in fisheries economics growth. Overall, the exports of aquatic products in Shandong Province is driving the fisheries economics development and the phenomenon exist for a long time. This driving mechanism is based on existence of idle resources, and achieve in three ways of the demand expansion, economics of scale, technological progress .By calculating the resource endowments index, proporation of international market index, trade competitiveness index and the revealed comparative advantage index, the results shows that the competition of aquatic products export is strong in Shandong . But after the year 2006, export of aquatic products resource endowments index and trade competitiveness is decreasing each year . The growth rate of export of aquatic products also decline and even the rate become negative in 2009. In addition, after the year 2006 ,both the elasticity of export of aquatic products and dependency of export on the fisheries are significantly decreasing year by year. The role of aquatic output exports to the fisheries economics is difficult to play. Because of the role of export of aquatic products to fisheries economics in Shandong province weakened , maintain a reasonable exports dependence and exports structure, improve the quality of exports aquatic products and breakthrough technical barriers to trade, change exports way and optimize the pattern of export of aquatic products in Shandong Province, in order to enhance the competitiveness of export of aquatic products and effect in driving economic growth in fisheries.
