Research On The Factors Of Aquatic Products Processing Enterprises' Growth

The ocean development has a long history in China. The blue economic status in the national economy gradually improved. The proportion of GDP in the national marine industry has been more than 5%. The marine industry contribution to the national economy is growing. Among them, as the important part of the blue economy, the aquatic products processing enterprises has an important impact on the regional development and customers requirement. The aquatic products processing enterprises are the main actor both in the fishery market and the restructure of the fishery industry.Now, aquatic products processing enterprises in China are mostly small and medium enterprises. The development of such enterprises is affected by the macro- and micro-environment factors. This paper aims to analyze the main factors in their growing process, and by the comparative study of multiple cases, gives a series of measures and realistic suggestions.The theoretical basis of this paper are the theory of growth factors for enterprises and the research results of the aquatic products processing enterprises's growth. The paper collected the first data by case study method and in-depth interview method, and the aquatic product processing enterprises in this paper are representative. Those enterprises are mostly located in Dalian, Weihai, Qingdao, Yantai and other coastal cities, especially the blue economic areas. Those enterprises have some advantages and disadvantages influenced by marine environment, domestic and international market environment and their own development.This paper is divided into 5 chapters. The first chapter describes the paper's background, significance and a brief description of the article's content, methods and innovations. The second chapter focuses on the theories of SME growth and the theories of domestic and international factors. The third chapter analyses the external factors of the SME's growth, including PESN factors, industry character factors and the market factors and points out the degree and the problems in the growth of SME. The fourth chapter analyses the internal factors of the SME's growth, including entrepreneurs factor, technical R&D factors and the management factors and points out the degree and the problems in the growth of SME. The fifth chapter gives some suggestions and measures for the SME'growth related to the specific factors.
