Political skill refers to"the ability to effectively understand and influence others, in order to enhance one's personal and/or organizational objectives", it has become a new stage and a concentration of the research on organizational politics. Western academics have achieved abundant results in political skills research. They have comprehensively researched the conception of political skills, its construct validity, structural dimensions, antecedent and results variables. The development of Political Skills Inventory(PSI) promoted the further research on political skills. At present, the emphases of abroad political skills research has been transferred from Individual variable such as antecedent variables and result variables to the situational variables.In China, scholars have been introducing theories of political skills and prepared a local characterized political skills inventory, but it has very few empirical research in China.There are much more researches on organizational justice both in China and at abroad. In China, concerning theories have been introducing in, local characterized measures of organizational justice are made. It has some similarities and some distinctness with western PSI. There are many empirical research of organizational justice.Academic circles defined job performance in different ways, and they have a lot of differences. At present, there are some popular classifications of job performance dimensions models including (a) job performance and contextual performance (interpersonal facilitation and job dedication). (b) Role performance and out-role performance. (c) job performance and contextual performance (Organizational Citizenship Behavior).This study firstly checks the reliability and validity of western four-dimensional Political Skill Inventory in China and examines its prediction functions on job performance of ordinary employees.This paper explored the impact of organizational justice and its dimensions on the relationship between the political skills of Chinese ordinary employees and job performance.This paper got three results: (1)Ferris's(2005) four-dimensional Political Skill Inventory is applicable for ordinary employees in China. (2)The political skills of ordinary employees can positively predict individuals'job performance. (3)Organizational justice has moderating effect on the relationship between the political skills of ordinary employees and their job performance.Finally, we also discussed the disadvantages of this study and the future research direction of political skill.
