Empirical Sudy On The Impacts Of Technical Innovation On China's Employment

Since the reform and opening up, China has maintained a rapid and good development in all aspects of society and economy, at the same time we are faced with various problems and challenges, the crucial issue one of which is the relationship between technological innovation and the employment.While almost all scholars recognize that the employment are closely related to the technical innovation, but the specific impact of technical innovation on the total employment people is not conclusive. Somebody think that technical innovation has played a positive role in promoting employment, and some have the idea that it has a negative effect on employment. This article will try to use the thirty years'macro data since reform and opening up to do an empirical analysis on the impact of technological innovation on total number of employment, and then explain why did this happen.Firstly, the article makes a brief introduction about recent study of the theory of technological innovation, the employment and innovation and the relationship between the technological innovation and employment. Then it explains the concept, the type and the element of technological innovation and employment. Thirdly it analyzes the specific relationship between technological innovation and employment. Then Article IV does a brief overview over the current status of China's technological innovation and employment and point out many problems in China, such as China's current key problem of technological innovation is lack of product innovation, and the employment situation is grim and so on. After that it uses the three decades of data about innovation and employment in China to do an empirical analysis and founds that along with technological innovation, there is a significant increase in employment after economic reform, but the empirical results shows that currently technical innovation has a strong negative effect on the employment. Finally the article discusses the reasons why now technological innovation has a negative impact on the employment promote some measures to improve the employment situation.
