Complex Products and Systems (Complex Product Systems, COPS) are the large-scale products, systems or infrastructure of high cost of research and development, large-scale, high-tech (technology-intensive), customized, one-piece or small batch production. CoPS has become another manufacturing model that impact major national competitiveness, has become an important carrier of technological innovation and incubators. The innovation researches for COPS have also become an important and special research field of product innovation. In recent years, as the researchers believe that CoPS is an innovative productat, at home and abroad, the researches about innovation process of CoPS are mainly reflected in the formation process of the product and system. However, the process of product research and development is not only a simple process of social activities, but also is a knowledge creation process including cognitive activities of knowledge and integrate knowledge process. On the basis of the literature review in the the innovation process of CoPS and knowledge creation, combined with a typical case analysis of CoPS innovation, the thesis create a theoretical framework of knowledge creation mechanism, which take SECRP-SyS model (a modified SECI model) as the core, project management factors to integrated developer as input, innovation performance as output. Based on the theoretical framework, the paper proposes a conceptual model, the assumptions of relationships between the factors, and the questions of variables design. Through a questionnaire survey obtained169valid sample data, the thesis first takes a descriptive analysis and an exploratory factor analysis by software SPSS19, second design a structural equation model, then complete the analysis of the sample data and assess of theoretical models by software LISREL8.7. The main conclusions of the article are as follows:(1) The essence of COPS innovation process is knowledge creation process.(2) The knowledge creation process of CoPS is an interaction process between six knowledge creation modes. And there are three main modes of transfer paths in this process, including "E-> R-> P-> SYS","E-> C-> R-> P-> SyS" and "E-> C-> S-> P-> SYS". Combined with the path coefficients of the statistical assess, the thesis bring to light that the internalization of knowledge practice is the key to knowledge creation process, is the most critical link to formation of high-quality and high-level CoPS.(3) The five most important influencing factors about the CoPS integrated developer are interface management ability, basic IT ability, intellectual resources ability, the culture of innovation, and innovation organizational environment. Among these factors, the interface management ability is the most stable driving force to knowledge creation, and the basic IT ability has become a basic property of CoPS integrated developer. Furthermore, in the COPS innovation process, standardized and orderly knowledge representation from innovation individual need to be inspired by creating a culture of innovation and an organizational environment with orderly architecture.(4) The performance pursuit of CoPS knowledge creation must include individual performance, project performance and organizational performance. The individual performance is the basis of project performance and organizational performance. And the CoPS integrated providers need to focus on the innovation individual needs and performance. In addition, project development experience and its information preservation sometimes are more important than the project benefits for the CoPS integrated providers.
