The tourism is one of prop industries in Turpan area, it has the vital significance and function to the native economic and society development.This text analyze the basic condition of tourism industrial in Turpan region, take the sustainable development theory as foundation, analyze the existing problems and solutions of local tourism sustainable development process, hope to promotes the local tourist resources reasonable protection and the science development, make use of the tourism resources sustainable, then realizing the sustainable development of the local tourism industry.Based on the system perspective, investigate and analyze the tourism economic phenomenon in turpan as a system, By collecting and consult various related literature and have Field investigation in turpan area, Based on original material, to collect the newest Data information, analyze theoretical basis and research objects.Explore the mutual relationship of the local tourism system elements and the internal and external environment condition restraints of the system,Then give the reasonable proposal to realize the aim of sustainable development of local tourism.To summarized the Basic situation in Turpan region such as the Development history, geology climate environment, minorities constitute and customs,analyze the development history and market level of tourism industry, to classify and analysis the Tourism resources according to the relative classification standards, explore the social function of tourism in minority area such as the Turpan region, based on the above content, and use the tourism sustainable development theory,, then analyzed and expounded the economic and social problems in the process of tourism sustainable development in Turpan region and related corresponding countermeasures and Suggestions.The Uighur residents is the main part in turpan regions, the minority population is 77% in total population,,its tourism resources national characteristics is obvious,the tourism attraction strong,the proportion of humanity tourism resources and natural tourism resources is 4:l,so the humanity tourism resource is the key of tourism industry, its major tourist attraction is historic remains and customs forms. There are two aspects of the development ideas in Turpan tourism sustainable development: First,the development is the main position. Development is the people and social basic movement trend, we can not block tourism development by protection,we should promoting tourism development actively by effective measures in the premise of the protection,and consider "sustainable" in the same time in the process of its development.Because tourism resources is based in the tourism industry,if the resources are undermined, the industry can not develop. Second, the sustainability contains economic, social and environmental three aspects,they are the unity of opposites,and independence and influence each other.
