From the seventies of last century, more and more researchers focus on charismatic leadership, and they have made enormous achievement by large number of in-depth research, and there is ample evidence confirmed the validity of research results. Before the study was the general nature of charismatic leadership to do the analysis, very few countries or a particular industry for an in-depth discussion. This study is based on Chinese culture and socio-economic background, to explore the charismatic leadership in private enterprise is how to form, find characteristics of charismatic leadership have those, and analyze its effectiveness is how. This study aims to explore the scope of the role of charismatic leadership, the challenges and direction by the analysis of situational factors. To improve the management efficiency of entrepreneurs, adjust their behaviors and promote the development of private enterprise, this paper can provide valuable advice.The beginning of this article is on the general overview of leadership theory; the next is the literature review, brushing up charismatic leadership theory about meaning of charismatic leadership, characteristics, effectiveness and situational factors; the third chapter analyzes the development of private enterprises in china and management problems; highlights of the article is the fourth, fifth, sixth chapter formed, not only logical reasoning, as well as excellent case studies in this section, we drawn the main conclusions of this paper by analyzing the characteristics of charismatic leadership, effectiveness, challenges and direction, they are as follows:1.In Chinese cultural background, charismatic leadership of the main features include:moral character describing a bright future and hard working, high confidence, personal risk, personal skills, sensitivity to environment and concern for members' needs. Which decision-making ability, abide by professional ethics and environmental sensitivity are different from state-owned enterprise features Charismatic leadership.2.Charismatic leadership is a set of relations, which consists of leader's features, followers'characteristics, and situational factors. These situational factors include: business venturing, crisis, corporate restructuring and so on.3.In private enterprises, the effectiveness of charismatic leadership is mainly reflected in individual, group and organizational level. In individual level, the effectiveness of charismatic leadership is passed on the job satisfaction, employee loyalty, employee self-efficacy to achieve a positive impact; in group level, charismatic leadership through affecting group cohesiveness and group efficacy to achieve leadership effectiveness; in organizational level, charismatic leadership effectiveness is through to enterprise culture and enterprise strategy have managed to achieve.4.Along with the development of private sector and standardized management, charismatic leadership faces of corporate governance, knowledge staff and cultivating heir three challenges.5.Transformational leader is the development direction of the charismatic leadership. Due to environmental changes and challenges, will lead to charismatic leadership must reform, otherwise will not be able to adapt to development of the enterprise.
