Therefore, how to seize this opportunity, adjust the industrial structure, promote the speed of economic development, is an important task in the future development.First of all, we study the industrial structure of present situation of Jiangsu coastal areas. This area posses an apparent advantage over the resources and location..It already has industrial foundation for the further development. Comparing with the international industrial standards, Jiangsu coastal areas has been at the metaphase of industrialization. The first industry proportion is too high, hindered the development of the tertiary industry. The development of heavy industry brings the natural environmental stress. Because of the low concentration leval of the secondary and tertiary industries, their positive spin-off effects has not come out. The alignment of the services and the manufacturing insustry is not inadequate, regional industrial structure don't get the coordinated development.In view of the strong core competitiveness of the leading industry, we merits our reference and study from the region leadership industry choice. Using the factor analysis in SPSS to evaluate the economical scale of Nantong, Lianyungang and Yancheng. This part we choose the development scale, economic effectiveness, social effectiveness development potential and comparative advantage, according the total points to rank order, then we can get he leading industry of this three cities. Structure assimilation phenomenon is outstanding, and the radiation effects of the leading industry has not played out.Finally, in accordance with the empirical analysis, proposed existing problems in Jiangsu coastal industrial structure, and put forward the corresponding policy recommendations.
