Analysis On How Supply Chain Management Influence Suppliers' And Manufactuer's Performance

21st century is a high-speed developing global era, with the development of information technology; Competition in the market is changing from competition between individual companies to that between different supply chains formed by related supplier and manufacturers. Under such situation, it has been approved that supply chain management affects the performance of company positively, effective supply chain management can bring a company strong competition in the market.This thesis aims at discussing the influence of supply chain management to the performance of its forming suppliers and manufacturers, the performances here are divided into manufacturing performance & financial performance, supply chain management is to establish long-term cooperation partner relationship with suppliers, taking suppliers'involvement in new product development and product quality control as priorities to determine supplier selection, on basis on these, delete/add supplier Q'ty, information system & information share, mutual benefits and so on form the main six supply chain performance factors, which are further used to evaluate the suppliers'performances as well as manufacturing performances. In this thesis, the research action is carried out with the cooperation of company P, those suppliers who passed ISO9001 are taken as research object, we get the suppliers'information by questionnaire survey and analyze the accumulated data with structural equations model. Based on the research result, it is found supply chain management has positive correlation to supplier's performance, and supplier's performance has positive correlation to manufacturer's manufacturing performance, furthermore, the manufacturing performance affect its financial performance positively at manufacturer side. It is also found supply chain management has no direct influence to manufacturers'manufacturing performance. Based on above, it is concluded that supply chain management degree will now affect manufacturers'manufacturing performance directly, however, we could modify supply chain management to promote supplier's performance, and supplier's performance promotion will further increase manufacturer's performance.Manufacturer could focus on below five factors to improve company's performance, they are:1. To establish long term cooperation relationship with supplier.2. Supplier involves in product development.3. Taking quality as the most important element when doing supplier selection.4. Information system and sharing. 5. Mutual benefits.The research in this thesis can works as an important reference in making supply chain management strategy for a company.
