Tourism communication is to convey tourism information through many communication media. According to the scope of communication ,we can divide it into interior communication, interpersonal communication, organizational communication, mass communication, international communication and so on. In actual life, more and more media take part in the communication of tourism information. There are two major types of media in China: professional and unprofessional. Generally, the professional media include newspapers, magazines, books, radio, TV and the websites. In the concrete process, tourism communication not only follows the basic rules of information transmission, but also has its own ones which can be divided into selection, utility and approach.In order to analyze the image of tourism destination, we should understand the definition and components of it. Guilin is a well-known tourist destination at home and abroad. We can analyze its image on the following two aspects: internal analysis and external analysis. On this basis, we should improve the image of Guilin through national tourism synthetically reform testing district.However, our purpose is not to analyze and improve the image of Guilin as the tourism destination but to spread it to the tourists or potential tourists. So we should take some effective measures: grasping the general rules, abiding by the basic principle, making use of the means and technique and spreading the specific events.
