For years, Hi-tech industry is flagged with high compensation and benefits as it is developing very fast and employees'compensation and benefits is increased a lot. Meanwhile, with fast development, Compensation and benefits have be the main factor which restricts the growth and expansion of Hi-tech company.On that condition, this paper studies R&D employee in Hi-tech company, research how to set up Hi-tech company charaterstatiscs and compensation and benefits to motivate R&D employee, which is aligned with R&D employee requirements.This paper defines the characteristics and concept of Hi-tech company and the ones of R&D employees in Hi-tech company. Also in this paper, I clear up and conclude the compensation and benefits related base salary, incentive and other related theory by literature review. Then, I analyze the factor which may impact the compensation and benefits structure on the basis of R&D employee's characteristic.Later, according to the compensation and benefits structure of R&D employee in Hi-tech industry, I propose"Total Compensation"and introduce the structure of these employees'internal and external compensation and benefits, methodology and steps of design. According to above theory, this paper study compensation and benefits practice of R&D employee in FS company, make suggestion on how to improve its'compensation and benefits, introduce broad band salary structure, bonus plan, benefits management.
