The Application Of Technological Innovation In The Research And Development Project Of New HP Mill

Technological innovation is the everlasting theme of company. It is an important measure to decrease cost, increase benefit and improve the core competitive power of the company. The key of technological innovation is the research and development of product, and the product research and development can't be done without technological innovation management. HP mill is a technological introduction product, and it is now facing the change from the introduction and digestion phase to the re-innovation phase. The essence of innovation is to create commercial value that the competitors don't have or can't create. According to the management theory, the innovation can be managed. Based on the technological innovation theories, the relationship of technological innovation management and product research and development, together with the application demand of company in researching and developing the new HP mill project, the design mode which adapt to HP mill product R&D is developed. By analyzing function and structure of product with modularization design, the development work is conducted under the guide of modern design theory with the application of product rapid design theory and modern design tools. The aim of this work is to shorten the product R&D cycle, increase the design efficiency, reduce the design error and decrease the product cost. As a result, the independently R&D and re-innovation ability of company will be improved. This paper aims at the actual application of technological innovation management on this product R&D product.
