Practical Application Research On Six Sigma Management And Technology In Notebook Manufacturing Enterprise

Six Sigma is regarded as the most advanced management method in the world and it was established on the base of Total Quality Control theory. Most enterprises have implemented Six Sigma to gain high profit and improve the competition. As an important part of Chinese manufacturing industry, Notebook manufacturing faces the pressure of quality improvement and cost reduction in the increasingly competitive market. Most Chinese enterprises have established basic quality control system. The managers of those enterprises intend to implement Six Sigma management to seek superexcellent performance. This paper selects the notebook main board assembly process as experiment and do research on practical application of Six Sigma in notebook manufacturing enterprises. The Six Sigma technical method generally applied in notebook manufacturing enterprises has been revealed in the research. The research also has certain reference and guidance for the notebook manufacturing enterprises to totally implement Six Sigma management.This paper starts from the background analysis of notebook manufacturing enterprises'development and points out the necessity and significance to implement Six Sigma. Secondly, according to the principle of the Six Sigma and compares it with the other management theory, this paper indicates the characteristic of Six Sigma. Thirdly, selects the notebook main board assembly process as experiment and uses the five steps which include define, measurement, analysis, improvement and control to make quality improvement. At each improvement step uses related statistical method and tools to solve problems and finally achieves the target. The generally practical application of Six Sigma method in notebook manufacturing enterprises has been summarized according to the experiment. Lastly, this paper makes prospect of the Six Sigma management continuously development in notebook manufacturing enterprises and confirms the future development direction of the enterprises.
