The Research Between Energy Consumption And Economic Growth In Hebei Province

In this paper, using econometric software of Eviews, combination of qualitative andquantitative analysis, comparative analysis of methods research the relationship ofbetween total and composition of energy consumption and economic growth in Hebeiprovince, the results could guide direction for energy consumption to Hebei province andhave important practical reference value to sustainable development of energy andeconomic.First, introducts the relational theory of energy consumption and economic growth,then describes the energy and economic indicators and models of relationship betweenbetween energy consumption and economic growth. The above studys provide thetheoretical basis for following analysis.Secondly, using of horizontal and vertical comparison, to analyse two aspects of thecurrent situation of energy consumption and economic growth of Hebei Province, thenanalysis the energy and economic indicators, including energy intensity, energyconsumption elasticity coefficient and processing of energy conversion efficiency. Fromthe fluctuations of indicators further analysis energy consumption and economic growth inthe linear relationship on the volatility of change in recent years in Hebei province.Third, using econometric software of Eviews, makes a smooth sequence of test,cointegration test, Granger causality test, and the creation of error-correction model toeconomic growth and energy consumption of Hebei. This study not just the relationship ofenergy consumption and GDP, but also the various components of energy consumption(coal, oil, gas, water and electricity) and GDP were studied, revealing the correlationbetween them.Finally, some suggestions to adjust energy consumption in Hebei province.Such as,the strengthening of industrial restructuring, the implementation of the traditional energymix to the clean energy mix, make ensure energy supply, the government should formulaterelevant rules and regulations and promote the awareness of energy conservation efforts and other aspects of the management to promote the coordination development betweenenergy consumption and economic.
