Research On The Problem Of Improving Industrial Competitiveness Of Gansu Characteristic Agriculture

In the 21st century, with the acceleration of economic globalization and market integration, the international and domestic market of agricultural products continuously coalesces, and competition of agricultural industry becomes increasingly fierce, so different scholars are more and more concerned about the problem of competitiveness improvement of agricultural industry. Facing such fierce competition, Gansu Province should rely on regional advantages and rich agricultural characteristic resources, with the great development of the west area and construction of new countryside to greatly develop characteristic agriculture and to improve competitiveness of the characteristic agricultural industry. Therefore, this thesis researches development of Gansu characteristic agriculture based on the perspective of improving industrial competitiveness provides theoretical basis and practical reference for decision and management of government and related departments. It has important realistic significance for development to promote the development of Gansu characteristic agriculture, to increase farmers' income and to facilitate rural economic development; it is also certain reference for development of characteristic agriculture in similar areas.Firstly, this thesis made a more comprehensive understanding for basic theory of industrial competitiveness of characteristic agriculture, connotation and characteristics of characteristic agriculture, meaning, essence and composition of industrial competitiveness. Then through comparative study of existing measurement methods of domestic industrial competitiveness, determined that SWOT analysis method is the best method to study improvement of industrial competitiveness of Gansu characteristic agriculture, and further made understanding of advantages and disadvantages of SWOT analysis method, put forward problems which need to be paid attention in application of this method. Secondly, based on analysis and understanding of overall development level of Gansu agriculture, this thesis puts forward the importance of developing characteristic agriculture in Gansu Province, and further analyzes overall development status of Gansu characteristic agriculture and respective development level and existing problems of seven characteristic agricultural industries. Thirdly, this thesis fully and systematically analyzes advantages, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of improvement of industrial competitiveness of Gansu characteristic agriculture with SWOT analysis method.Based on the above analysis, certain rational thinking was made in this thesis from four aspects for improvement of industrial competitiveness of Gansu characteristic agriculture, including: to change comparative advantage into competitive advantage; to coordinate regional distribution and develop in appropriate scale; to emphasize innovation of technology finally gives countermeasures for improving industrial competitiveness of Gansu characteristic agriculture from seven aspects, including: to improve basic competitiveness—grasp opportunity of development of the west regions, greatly strengthen construction of basic facilities of agriculture; to improve scale competitiveness—coordinate regional distribution, promote scale operation of characteristic advantageous industry; to improve benefit competitiveness—improve industrialization level of characteristic agriculture, emphasize development of feature enterprise; to improve science & technology competitiveness—positively answer to competitive pressure of WTO, emphasize effects of education and technology; to improve market competitiveness—improve quality of characteristic agricultural products, strengthen brand building and marketing level; to improve system competitiveness—perfect various economic systems in rural area, promote service and management of agriculture socialization; to improve sustained competitiveness—reasonably and efficiently use the resources, improve ecological environment and insist sustained development.
