Studies On Industrial Development Of Specialized Agriculture In Gansu, China

After30years of reform and development, China’s agriculture and rural economy has entered a new stage of development, developing modern agriculture has became the main task of the agricultural and rural economy. Taking strategic adjustment of agricultural structure as a breakthrough, determining the positioning of Gansu key industries of agricultural development, identifying resources and market advantages and developing of specialized agriculture is an important way to achieve sustainable development of Gansu agriculture.On the basis of reviewing domestic and foreign literatures related to specialized agriculture, combining the natural resource endowments by qualitative and quantitative analysis, practical surveys, data analysis and other methods, and comparative advantage theories, this study analyzed potential advantages of specialized agriculture, current situation, current problems and constraints of developing specialized agriculture, based on considering Gansu natural resources, agro-climatic conditions and socio-economic conditions, location geographical conditions, historical and cultural conditions, policy support conditions and the main agricultural product quality advantage of developing specialized agriculture. The study also summarized the development characteristics in this stage, elucidated selection and regional distribution of specialty agriculture industry, and proposed some countermeasures and suggestions against constraint factors of specialized agriculture development for Gansu province.The purpose of this study is to understand comprehensively of the specialized agricultural industry, to explore the ways of further development of specialized agriculture industry and to provide some references for relevant authorities formulating development policies of specialized agricultural industries.
