In the 1990s, along with the rapid development of economic globalization, and the acceleration of competition, companies around the world start to compete in the area of supply chain to cater for the extremely diversified customer demands. Though the practice of supply chain enhances company's competitiveness, and offers great economical benefits, it also causes many environmental accidents, such as resource exhaustion, environment pollution, and eco-system damage. This strictly confines the healthy development of companies as well as the society on the whole. Modern companies are faced with the problem of breaking the vicious circle and supply chain study emphasizes on how to achieve the coordinative development among economy, environment and the society. Green supply chain management (GSCM) is born against this backdrop, which incorporates green paradigm into supply chain management, and takes into account the environmental impact and resource efficiency. It is a effective and strategic way to achieve sustainable development and enhance the international competitiveness of the company.Performance evaluation system serves as the foundation of the GSCM, and guarantees its effective implementation. Timely performance evaluation of GSCM, not only offers a clear understanding of the operating condition of the whole supply chain, but also shows the defects and the direction of further improvement. In this way, rational distribution of the limited social resources and sustainable development of companies and the society are achieved.Based on the comparison and analysis of the traditional supply chain and the green supply chain (GSC), this essay put forward the concepts of performance and performance evaluation of GSC besides the reference model of the operation of GSC (GSCOR). Furthermore, based on the selection principle of evaluation indices and the characteristics of GSC in manufacturing industry, this essay constructs the index system of GSC performance evaluation in manufacturing industry, from the perspectives of financial values, customer services, work flow, innovative development and environmental protection respectively, with the stakeholder theory, GSCOR and the Balanced Score Card of supply chain in mind. Then, this essay constructs a fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model, comparing the current evaluation methods, summarizing the demands of the performance evaluation of GSC in manufacturing industry, indentifying the index weight through the Fuzzy-AHP, introducing the membership degree of quantitative index through the triangular fuzzy function based on benchmarking management method, choosing the membership degree of qualitative index by Delphi, and conducting comprehensive analysis based on the"weighted average type"of compound operator. Finally, this essay proves the model's effectiveness and feasibility through empirical analysis, and gives some pertinent advice for implantation.
