A Strategy Study On Tianjin's Traditional Industry Transformation

Tianjin is an old industrial city of our country. The traditional industry of Tianjin has solid foundation, and it is also regarded as the main force and important source to support economic growth of Tianjin. Textile is the typical traditional industry, and it has made great contribution for Tianjin. The decline of Tianjin's textile appears recently. Vulgar development,low value-added and weak marketing lead to this situation. In order to survive, the transformation of textile is imperative. High technology makes great change on people's prodcution and lifestyle. Transforming and upgrading traditional industry with high technology is an important way which can promote and optimization Tianjin's industry.This paper totally divided into five chapters. The first chapter introduces the background and meaning of traditional industry of Tianjin and the research method. The second chapter explains relevant theory, such as traditional industry and High technology, the theory about industrial development, the theory about strategic management and smiling curve theory. The third chapter provides the analysis about Tianjin's traditional industry and the future trend. The fourth chapter carries out a demonstrational study of Tianjin's traditional industry in textile. It analyses the external environment and industry structure of the textile . The textile industry of Tianjin is also analyzed by SWOT . Chapter five provides conclusions and limits of this paper. Currently, more and more researchers fling themselves into transforming and upgrading traditional industries with high technology, and among them many scholars made valuable achievements in our country. However, in these studies,"transformating and elevating traditional industries of tianjin,especially for the textile"is not much. In this article, qualitative and quantitative research methods were used to analyze Tianjin's traditional industry strategy , especially for the textile. And hope this essay can guide the textile industry in Tianjin.
