Research On The Relationship Between Logistics And Economic Growth Of Wuhan City

In the early 1980's, Chinese logistics industry began to rise. Logistics is no longer a speech, but a great practice. As an important part of service industry, its role has becoming more and more prominent in the national economy. With the rise of central cities, the central regions economy has developed rapidly, and logistics industry has its growth and progress with economy. This paper discusses the close relationship between logistics industry and economic growth, as well as the development of logistics industry so as to promote a better economic growth.As the capital of Hubei province, Wuhan has a pivotal role in the rise of Hubei province and the central region. We analyze the present situation of Wuhan logistics industry and its role in economy growth. The important meaning of the paper is to understand the contribution of logistics so that the government can formulate effective logistics policy. This paper adopts a combination of theoretical and empirical research methods Takes logistics industry and economic growth theory and relevant mechanism as theoretical basis. Makes the specific situation of Wuhan city as the research object. Discusses nearly 20 years of Wuhan logistics industry development and economic growth and studies the interrelation between them. Using an econometric correlation analysis method the paper makes an attempt to give some suggestions to Wuhan logistics industry and economy for their coordinated development. At last, we hope the paper has a certain reference value for Wuhan government to formulate logistics planning and industrial policy.
