A Research On The Supervision Of Food Production And Processing Safety

In the past few years, the food safety issues have become a focus to which people pay increasing attention, as food safety accidents occurred from time to time. Government with the function of management, has responsibility and obligation to supervise and monitor the food safety issues so as to maintain stable social and economic development as well as guarantee the people's life safety. How to make use of limited resources to supervise and monitor food safety issues efficiently has become an important task for every government.This paper, taking Nantong food production and processing link safety supervision as example, proposes a food safety supervising system with the Chinese characteristics. This paper first analyses food safety supervising mode at home and abroad on the basis of summarizing basic concepts and theories. It then constructs a model of food supervision based on the specific characteristics of food production and processing. Finally, it suggests some measures and policies to enhance production and processing supervising model, and analyses its effectiveness. As an exploration, Nantong food production and processing supervising model is with great reference value to the food production supervision in the whole province or even the whole nation at large.
