Research On The Patent Alliances Mode Selection And Management Mechanism Of High-tech Enterprises

At present, when there has been an increasingly fierce competition in high-tech market, patent alliances, as a kind of new strategic alliance which may bring about huge competitive advantages, have been paid extensive attention by high-tech enterprises. Many domestic high-tech enterprises are studying establishing patent alliances in order to improve self competition and counteract the impact from multinational high-tech enterprises. However, compared with the established patent alliances and the management concept in foreign countries, the domestic research on patent alliances is still in its early stage and with faultiness , although a great deal of foreign advanced research achievements on patent alliances has been learnt.For this reason, the dissertation puts emphasis on the study in establishment mode and management mechanism of patent alliances for high-tech enterprises. Firstly, the dissertation analyses the formation of patent alliances, studies its premise, basis, aim and dynamics. It also probes into the internal relationship in patent alliances, and deals with the characteristics of patent alliances in different stages by dividing its development into three stages as an early stage, operation stage and mature stage. Secondly, based on the new classification of patent alliance mode, it classifies patent alliances as guild-led, large enterprise-led and small enterprise-led patent alliance modes of high-tech enterprises. Moreover, taking the factors of risks, investment and profits into consideration, it does research on the selection of patent alliance mode and the choosing conditions of different modes. Lastly, the dissertation studies the patent evaluation system of high-tech enterprise patent alliances and its dynamic control system from the view of patent strategic control, member formation control and risk control, at the same time, deals in benefit evaluation system of patent alliances. Based on the above point of view, the dissertation uses TD-SCDMA patent alliance mode for an actual analysis. In conclusion, the study in the dissertation provides guidance and reference for the foundation and operation of high-tech enterprise patent alliances both theoretically and practically.
