Chinese Export and Import Commodities Fair, hereafter refers to as "Canton Fair", is an important window for China's foreign trade. It serves as a platform of export and trade for China known as the "world factory" in the world. Canton Fair is closely related to social and economic development of China. It is a "barometer" to Chinese economic development. With the development of Chinese economy and the enhancing competition in the industry of exhibition, Canton Fair has been upgraded from a single"export"functioning to "export-import" double--flow functioning. This upgrade reflects not only the tendency and rules of Chinese economic development, but also shows the successful changes from an "Export Fair" in the initial phase of upgrading to the "Import and Export Fair" in the second stage of upgrading, which marks a solid step forward to become an internationally famous brand of exhibition. Study the Time and spatial changing of the customers who attend the Canton Fair helps to know the demands of the two-way–trading of customers and helps to adjust the marketing management of the Canton Fair. This will have practical significance in improving service function of the Canton Fair and becoming an international well-known exhibition.In this paper, spatial and temporal evolution of characteristics and trends of the customers of Canton Fair were made by empirical research. It used ARCGIS software and Enterprise Geographic Concentration Index to study the temporal and spatial distribution of the Canton Fair's Clients, and analyzed the factors which cause to the impact of spatial phenomena. Furthermore, it also used the SPSS to analyze the correlation, building a mathematical model of linear regression analysis of procurement associated with the turnover, to forecast the developing direction of the Canton Fair by the summary of temporal and spatial characteristics of customers, and finally to lead to proposals of the strategies of development.Conclusions are as follows: the different needs of customers of the Canton Fair promote the transformation and upgrading of products on the Canton Fair to meet market demands. There is a close relationship between the characteristics of allocation of customers to the exhibition and the regional level of industrial development. The coastal regions of the southeast China with rapid economic and industrial development is the main area where the suppliers come from.The Buyers mainly come from Asia, Europe and the Americas, with a characteristic of small dispersion in a large aggregation. Based on the study of the characteristics of allocation of exhibition customers, the paper sums up the Canton Fair's five major developing trends and proposes the three major development strategies as brand internationalization, specialization and diversification.
