Problem Research On Reducing The Bullwhip Effect In Cable Assembling Supply Chain

There are too many problems detected in cable assembly supply chain management, such as lack of supply, production and transport operations is out of balance, delay to response to customer demand, inventory cost is too high. Bullwhip Effect is one of the major causes of those problems. Therefore, weakening the bullwhip effect of the cable assembly can improve supply chain operational efficiency, reduce supply chain costs, shorten product delivery time, and enhance their ability to resist risks.This paper follows the principle of combining theory with reality, qualitative and quantitative analysis, model analysis, case study to research the bullwhip effecting in cable assembly supply chain systematically. Firstly, introduces the bullwhip effect Research and describes the generation of hazards. Then combines characteristics of the cable assembly supply chain and does some analysis why lead to the bullwhip effect from below items, customer demand forecasting, inventory management, information sharing, advanced interval, price fluctuations, and shortage game, and take some actions to weaken the bullwhip effect of the cable assembly supply chain; finally analysis the bullwhip effect in the NC company, and compare the bullwhip effect before and after actions. And the conclusion is the bullwhip effect can only be weakening, but not completely be eradicated.
