With the increasingly closed economic ties between the countries of the world, the market trading is highly developed. The trading competition is not between enterprises in one country. Today, competition in the market has developed into the competition between the supply chains in the worldwide. However, the bullwhip effect greatly affects the competitiveness of the supply chain. Cooperation between enterprises will be impacted by the bullwhip effect. In order to deal with enlarged orders, enterprises increase production costs, labor costs, transportation costs, and warehousing costs. However the customer service levels becomes lower. Once the demand decreased, a lot of manpower and material resources become idle and various problems will emerge which affect the supply chain and even lead to the closure of many companies.Therefore, to study how to alleviate the bullwhip effect will be extremely significant.The thesis studied the bullwhip effect of S Company supply chain, by learning the supply chain and the basic theory of the bullwhip effect, analyzing the status of supply chain management of the S Company, and deeply analyzing performance hazards of the bullwhip effect in supply chain of the S Company. The root cause is that demand forecasts are not correct, the collaboration and communication are lacked, shortage game exists and so on. And in order to ease the bullwhip effect in S Company supply chain., the methods of Sales&Operations planning, Vendor managed inventory, Delay strategy and Information sharing and so on should be used.
