Thanks to development of China's auto-making industry, the auto parts industry has grown out of copying to be full in shape and fast in expanding. Therefor, it is closely related to the auto-making industry here in China. The increasing of car-using and complete car production and the industrial shifting of international auto industry to China are endowing China's auto parts industry with unprecedented opportunities. Since the beginning of the 21st century, world renowned auto-makers have set up their business in China by establishing here manufacturing bases or, in some cases, R&D centers. China's auto industry has been on a fast track of development. In 2009, China overtook the US as the biggest producer and consumer of cars. The high-speed growth of sales in two consecutive years makes it an attractive land to businesses in auto-making and auto parts industries in the world. However, the auto parts industry in China is still comparatively less competent in many aspects, especially its independent R&D and manufacturing capacities. In the background of economic globalization, the study of auto parts industry in Xiaolan Economic Development Zone, the auto parts industrial base of Jiangxi Province, is of great theoretical and practical meaning to upgrading it to be a new industry of strategic importance.Having taken into consideration the overall development of the. auto-making industry and the fact of the auto parts industry in Xiaolan Economic Development Zone, and the major difficulties facing it in the globalization of auto-making industry, I explored ways for the further development of the industry and come to the following conclusion:the government shall work out special policies to encourage technological innovation, improve industrial planning on the premise of environment protection, pay attention to advanced technologies and management in attracting investment, provide better service, in the efforts to support the fast and balanced development of auto parts industry here; the enterprises shall achieve great core competence by project restructuring, promoting R&D and technological innovation and talent introduction.
