Analysis On Economic Effects Of High-tech Industry In Gansu Province

Economic growth and economic development in the field of economics is undoubtedly the core issue. Since the early 20th century, from the theory as the core of innovation (Joseph A. Schumpeter) to the theory of the neo-classical economic growth (Solow), they revealed the important contribution of the technological advances to economic growth.After World WarⅡ, with the boom of the information technology and biotechnology, the rapid development of high-tech industry, with unprecedented speed changed the world economic map. High-tech sector has greatly changed the mode of production and increase production efficiency, but also created a large number of high-paying jobs. The developed countries rely on the emerging high-tech industries to respond to the decline of traditional manufacturing industries. While developing countries regard them as an important way to get rid of backwardness, high-tech economy tides over the world. As the industrial revolution, bring up the shine of industrial cities, the rise and development of the high-tech industry had a significant impact on the economy.In this paper, the economic effect of high-tech industries in Gansu Province was studied. On the basis of literature study, the second chapter describes the theory of input-output method and the mechanism which high-tech industry drive economic development by leaps and bounds and briefly describes the status of high-tech industries in Gansu Province. Third, the four chapters analyze the correlation effect and ripple effect between high-tech industry and high-tech and traditional industries. The Chapter analyzes the employment effects and added value effect of high-tech industry in Gansu province. Finally, the conclusions of this study and some policy proposals are elaborated in the conclusions and shortcomings, propose the deficiencies of this study.This paper uses input-output method of qualitative and quantitative analysis, emphasizing the application of empirical analysis and values the importance of data collection, collation and computation, full use of relevant quantitative analysis of data, combined with qualitative analysis to explain the relationship between high-tech industries and traditional industries the internal Gansu Province.
