Research On Impacts And Countermeasures Of International Oil Price Fluctuation On Petrochemical Industry

As an important strategic resource, petroleum has the characteristics of non-renewable and scarcity, and is also playing a decisive role in the national rejuvenation and the development of economy in the world. Petroleum as well as its manufactured goods have already been applied in all kinds of economic fields, and have already become the development energy source of the modern economic society. Along with the rapid progresses of the global economy and the increasingly fierce of international competition, the demand of oil consumption is growing constantly. The problem of scarce resources becomes more and more serious, which is adding to the instability of the oil market, and making international oil prices showed sharp fluctuations in the situation. As second-largest oil importer and consumer currently in the world, China's crude oil price is following the fluctuation of oil prices, along with domestic refined oil market and international market gradually rails. With international oil prices soared and external dependence rise ceaselessly, the petrochemical industry of our country faced enormous impacts with the starting point of crude oil. As the pillar industry of our country, petrochemical industry has its responsibility to provide energy resources to the national economic sectors and raw materials and auxiliary products, meanwhile, it must have some difficulties and challenges in the development process.Starting from the fluctuation of international oil price, also based on the history and current situation of the fluctuation of international oil price, this thesis analyzed the factors which affects systematically on international oil price from the demand and supply, derivatives and some other aspects. Secondly, the author gave the further analysis about the present problems existing in the development and its influence factors of our petrochemical industry, then pointed out the problems of irrational industrial structure, technology innovation, international competitiveness which was existing in the development of the petrochemical industry of our country, meanwhile, by use of the theoretical analysis and empirical analysis, this dissertation built the price model of input-output, and the forecast analysis of price spread effect, then researched the fallout influence systematically of the fluctuations of oil price to petrochemical industry and related industry of our country; on this basis, the author finally proposed the countermeasures to establish the strategic oil reserve in such aspects as accelerating development of the hydrocarbon resources, conducting comprehensively the development of alternative new energy, as well as perfecting the reform of product pricing mechanism of our country, to ensure a steady supply of crude oil resources.
