A Study On Competitiveness Of Equipment Manufacturing Industry In The Guanzhong-Tianshui Economic Zone

Equipment manufacturing industry is the whole appellation for those industry departments, as well as the core of industry development,which offered technology equipment to all the national economy departments and national security requires. With the growth of china's industrialization and economic globalization, equipment manufacturing industry increasingly plays an important role in the development of economy. As a main and newly emerging base of equipment manufacturing, the GuanZhong TianShui Economic Zone has made important contribution to economic development of the country. However, it developed slowly since 1978, the ranking falls behind in the whole nation, revitalizing the equipment manufacturing industry becomes an important task of economic construction in the economic zone.This thesis's work focuses on the study on competitiveness of equipment manufacturing in the GuanZhong TianShui Economic Zone . First of all, it defines the equipment manufacturing industry; expatiate on the theoretical basis and the influential factors of the equipment manufacturing industry competitiveness. Second, it describes the present situation of equipment manufacturing industry of the country and the economic zone, then analyzes with SWOT model the development situation of equipment manufacturing in the economic zone to nail down its extra environment and internal advantages and disadvantages. Third, it systematicay analyses the competitiveness of equipment manufacturing industry from direct origin, factor influencing and decisive factor etc four aspects. At last, it brings forward some strategic and practical advice and the role of government on how to promote the competitiveness of equipment manufacturing industry in GuanZhong TianShui Economic Zone.The conclusion shows that equipment manufacturing industry in the economic zone has comparatively strong ground, but it needs to accelerate the pace of development. The Twelfth five plan is a pivotal period for the economic zone to development equipment manufacturing industry.
