The Forming Path Of Emerging Industry Based On Technology Chains

Emerging industries fundamentally determines one country or region's international market position and overall competitiveness, which has drawn a great attention of the theoretical and practical fields. Countries are actively exploring effective ways to promote the emerging industries'formation and development. The current theoretical studies have confirmed that the technical factors are the root causes of the formation of new industries and technology chain is the embodiment of the core competitiveness. Therefore, on the basis of the technology chain's building, there is necessary for in-depth study on the characteristics, formation mechanism and path on the emerging industries. It has a big research value and practical significance to save the problems in the cultivation and development of emerging industries.Firstly, this paper describes the background, purpose and significance of the topics, then, it puts forward the content and method of this study. On the basis of the references and literature, this paper summarizes the definition and structure of the technology chain, induces the definition, formation factor and cultivation path of emerging industries. The core part of this paper is about the models of the technology chain building. According to the theory of Technology Evolution and compared with the case of three industries, we deduced three model of technology chain building. Then, on the basis of the technology chain's building, deduced the model of the cultivating path of emerging industry, including, the breakthrough of the crucial department, the horizontal expansion and the vertical expansion of the technology chain, the integration of technology chain. In different phases of the emerging industry, government should pay close attention to the technology chain and adopt independent nurturing strategies. Finally, this paper demonstrated systematically the theory through the case of the photovoltaic industry in Jiang Su Province.
